Troubleshooting guides
What's wrong with my e-bike?
Start with the symptom. Each guide explains the usual causes, what to check first in your driveway, when to stop and get help, and what a repair typically involves. When you're done guessing, a remote equipment assessment looks at your bike, photos and answers.
Ebike won't turn on
No display, no lights, no response — what a completely dead ebike usually means.
Turns on but won't move
Display lights up, everything looks normal, but the motor never engages.
Battery won't charge
Charger plugged in, nothing happening — where the charge is actually getting stopped.
Charger light stays green
A green LED can mean full, finished, or not connected at all — telling them apart.
Throttle not working
Dead, intermittent, or jumpy throttle — and the settings that quietly disable it.
Pedal assist not working
No help when you pedal — usually the sensor that tells the bike you started.
Motor cuts out while riding
Power drops on hills, at speed, or over bumps — then returns a moment later.
Display error codes
How to read an error code, what the common families point at, and what to record.
Battery dies quickly
Range that has collapsed, or a gauge that falls off a cliff under load.
Brake sensor problems
When the brake cutoff sticks on, the motor stays off — even with the levers released.
Motor making noise
Grinding, clicking, whining, or stuttering — what each sound usually points at.
Swollen or damaged battery
Swollen, hot, hissing, wet, or dropped — stop using it and handle it carefully.
