Privacy & Data Retention Policy

What we collect
- Equipment and problem information — category, brand, model, year, your description, error codes and your answers to guided questions.
- Photographs you choose to upload.
- Contact details — your email address (to deliver the report) and optionally your name.
- Payment — handled by Stripe. We receive a payment reference, amount and status; we never see or store your card number.
- Usage analytics — first-party, cookie-free measurements of which pages lead to assessments (page path, referrer, device type, a random session id kept only for the browser session). We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
How we use it
To produce your Equipment Assessment Report, deliver it by email, provide support, process payments and refunds, measure and improve the service, and meet legal obligations. Submitted information and photographs are processed by our systems, which include automated analysis technology hosted on cloud infrastructure (Amazon Web Services, United States). De-identified assessment data (equipment type, symptoms, outcomes) may be used to improve our knowledge base.
Storage and security
Photographs and reports are stored in private, encrypted cloud storage and are only accessible through authorized application workflows and time-limited private links. Access to your report requires the private link from your email or the device you used for the assessment.
Retention
- Incomplete assessments (no payment): photographs are deleted automatically after about 14 days.
- Completed assessments: photographs are retained for about 180 days, then deleted; the report and assessment record are retained for up to 3 years so you can access your report and we can provide support.
- Payment records follow separate accounting and legal retention requirements.
- Analytics events are deleted after 90 days; aggregated counts are retained.
Your choices
You can request a copy or deletion of your assessment data and photographs at any time by texting (214) 249-5005 from the number or email used with the assessment (we may need to verify it is you). We may keep payment records and de-identified data where the law or our legitimate business needs require it.
Third parties
Service providers: Amazon Web Services (hosting, storage, processing, email), Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (website hosting and bot protection). If you click a professional-repair link in your report, you leave our site and the repair provider's own privacy policy applies.
Changes
We will post any changes to this page with a new "last updated" date.
