When the motor misbehaves, most bike shops wave you off — electric drivetrains aren’t their thing. They’re ours. Hub motors, mid-drives, controllers, and all the sensors in between.

Symptoms we fix

• Error codes flashing on your display (bring the code — it tells us a lot)
• Grinding, clicking, or scraping from the hub or drive unit
• Motor cuts out at speed or under load, then comes back
• Throttle dead or jumpy; pedal assist kicking in late or not at all
• No power to the motor even though the battery and display are fine

How it works

Motor problems are diagnosis problems: the fault could be the motor windings, the controller, a hall sensor, the PAS ring, or a single corroded connector. We pick up your bike, bench-test the whole drive system, and quote you the actual fix — often a $40 sensor rather than a $400 motor. If the motor does need replacement, we source OEM or better-than-OEM units for hub-drive and mid-drive systems alike.

You approve the quote before any work starts, and the bike comes back to your door test-ridden and ready.
